Textiles: the making of numdha rugs

A look at how carpets are made numdha - Numdhas are sold through Trade Aid stores in New Zealand - Trade Aid is a unique New Zealand Fair Trade Organization. The mats are embroidered by women artisans Zanana Dastkari Production Markaz (ZDPM) in Kashmir, India. This will ensure that producers receive a fair price for their craft. This organization was founded to create employment for young women with few opportunities.
